Here are a few items I’d like to share that have helped me begin a practice of mindfulness (and I hope they can help you, too):
- Website with freely available guided meditations These meditations come from the book, “Mindfulness: An Eight-Week Plan for Finding Peace in a Frantic World” by authors Jon Kabat-Zinn (foreword), Danny Penman, and Mark Williams.
- Available sites to purchase the book This is a Google search result of the aforementioned book.
- Website for the books (Mindfulness: Finding Peace in a Frantic World) This website has links to many other resources available through the authors & others including podcasts and apps about mindfulness.
- Insight Timer Meditation App This app is an amazing, free meditation app with so many resources available. It functions a bit like a social media account where you can share your meditations & there are groups you can join. I highly recommend!
